Michelle Kavanaugh currently serves as Deputy County Clerk for Bernalillo County, where she’s responsible for overseeing the office’s critical functions. She will continue building on the office’s successes by making government more accessible, making it more convenient for people to vote, and ensuring that everyone’s voices are heard. She understands the ongoing threats to our democracy – especially on the local level – and she’s running to ensure we retain experienced, steadfast leadership in the Clerk’s office. 

Michelle is a single-mom with an eight year-old son Uly, and her daughter Viviana, with her husband Evan, is a proud Airman in the United States Air Force.
